A Blizzard Named Orson

My dream...

and then my reality.

Orson is the second major winter storm to pound the state of Maine in the last four days.

With that said, this is my fourth winter here, and my southern blood still hasn't assimilated to the extreme cold of the Northeast.

I've become a pro at hunkering down, but will I ever adjust? Only time will tell.

Early Morning In New England

Yesterday's heavy snowfall blanketed the land with fresh powder.

Today at sunrise, I captured the early-morning glow saturating the landscape.

And on any clear day like today, the White Mountains can be seen across the state border in New Hampshire.
